Unassigned Gallery is now accepting expressions of interest for our exhibition program for March-May 2027.

We are committed to supporting and platforming emerging artists. We strongly encourage applications from First Nations artists, artists from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, disabled artists and LGBTQIA+ artists.

  • Our standard weekly rate is is $850 with a two week minimum, we do not take commission on artwork sales or merch sales.

    Full gallery solo show: $850 per week

    Half gallery show: $425 per week per exhibitor

    curated group show (20 or less artists): $850 per week

    Curated group show (21+ artists) $850 per week plus a $150 install fee

  • Included in your exhibition fee

    • Planning and development support leading up to your exhibition.

    • Installation and deinstallation support

    • Gallery sitters for the duration of the exhibition.

    • Exhibition open night, complimentary wine for solo and duo shows.

    • In-house exhibition documentation: 10-15 opening night photos and 5-10 installation photos. We can also connect you with discounted professional arts event photography.

    • Printed exhibition labels, room sheet, and A2/A1 wall decal.

    • Social media promotion leading up to and throughout your exhibition.

  • Our gallery is set up with picture rail systems that use clear wire cables and D rings. This system is compatible with D rings, wire, string. We are also able to install directly onto the walls for non compatible work.

    We are unable to suspend directly from the ceilings unless on already existing hooks or using command hooks. We can suspend from the beams.

    We provide all tools for installation: ladders, hammers and nails, levels, extension cords and power boards, trestle tables, foldable chairs, a small bluetooth speaker for daily use, a larger speaker for sound pieces, a projector, and plinths of varying sizes.

    Our plinth sizes are:

    • 50cm (W/D) x 1000cm (H)

    • 30cm (W/D) x 900cm (H)

    • 30cm (W/D) x 700cm (H) x 2

    • 30cm (W/D) x 500cm (H)

    • 1100cm (W) x 30cm (D) x 1000cm (H) x2

    • 1200cm (W) x 30cm (D) x 1000cm (H)

  • Unassigned Gallery is partially wheelchair accessible. Entry via front door is a single door (78cm wide) with ramp access.

    Seating is all on one level, on non static chairs which can be shifted around as needed.

    From inside the main gallery there is a 10cm step up to get into the kitchen, and 15cm step down to get into the backyard, however there is backyard access via the side of the gallery to avoid using the steps.

    We have one bathroom which is not wheelchair accessible - the nearest wheelchair accessible public bathroom is located at Juanita Peaches, 12 Edward Street Brunswick, open 11am-9pm.
